SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The role holder is responsible for reviewing, execution and of service connections related to the Metering work. The role holder is also responsible for maintaining records of all stock and installations related to meter installations and assist in smart Meter and AMI installation.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assists on the supervision of the implementation of electricity metering work and service connection to various type of consumer and developers.

• Follow up with related KAHRAMAA Consultants to ensure expected performance.

• Coordinates with Customer Service Department, other KAHRAMAA Dept and other governmental dept in order to execution the work as required.

• Monitor the installation and maintenance work of all types of meter installation, upgrade, replacement and as per KAHRAMAA standard and safety regulation.

• Assists Senior Engineer in all matters related to meter installations, maintenance, and management of KAHRAMAA supervisors, Technicians, Consultants and suppliers.

• Understanding of Electricity metering known standards, relevant international codes, certifications, and metrology.

• Planning of work execution and Preventive maintenance program and other initiatives to enhance the work in all aspects. Studies and comments on pre-qualification of metering aspects along with advancing of the state of art technology associated to the metering standard accordance with international Utility improvements.

• Prepared the scope of work for tendering, review the material submittals, monthly reports and other technical report as required.

• Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification.

• Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with KAHRAMAA health and safety regulations.

Self-Management Responsibilities:

• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.

• Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.

• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.

• More than 10 years of relevant experience in a similar industry or in a similar role of which minimum 3+ years of supervisory and project management experience preferably in the area of engineering encompassing inspection and installation works.

• Written and Spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred.
